You may repair Office 2010 using the link below and check if licensing works fine:
Method: 3
If the above steps fail, run the 'Fix It' tool available for Office suite from the link mentioned below this will remove all the installed components of Office
Note: Before running the ‘fix it’ tool make sure that you have the Office 2010 installation source file and its product key to reinstall it back.
Note: If you are using Windows 64 bit operating system, save the ‘Fix it’ on desktop before running it.
Once you have uninstalled Office you may use the installation source file and the product key to reinstall Office 2010 and verify the status.
I hope the above steps help. If you need further assistance on this particular issue or any other Office related issues let us know and we will be glad to assist you.

Hello everyone,
I have a strange issue with Office 2016, O365 edition that I'm hoping someone has some insight they can share. We have an ADFS environment with SSO configured, running XenApp/Desktop 7.8. VDA's are installed on Server 2008R2 boxes.
I have created a clean template with only Office 2016 installed for testing. Currently I am only publishing Excel 2016 as that is all the test group requires. Randomly, I get notifications that users receive an error after launching Excel that forces the application to close. The error is:
'Microsoft Office can't find your license for this application. A repair attempt was unsuccessful or was cancelled. Microsoft Office will now exit.'
The problem I've found, is that the Software Protection service is not running and the quick solution is to start the service. once done, the user is granted a license and off they go.
The Problem is, the service does not continue to run as it is an 'On Demand' service, but I cannot figure out what is supposed to call this service and why its failing. I have already changed the service from Automatic - Delayed Start to Automatic and I have set the recovery to restart each time the service fails, with a reset after 1 day. Regardless of these settings, I still get notified of users not being able to access Excel.
I had a similar issue with O365 sign in for another client and implemented method 2 from the MS KB article:
but that does not seem to help in this instance. I have even went ahead and ran the office removal tool on my template and reinstalled the app, with no change.
I don't seem to have the issue if I launch a full desktop and I also have no errors in the event viewer to work with.
If you have any ideas please share!
